Formed 1996 by the schoolmates Oskar Appelqvist, Petter Thorsell, Kwakum Eklund Robin Elmlund and Henrik SK in RAMDALA in the south of sweden.
At first Infinite Wipeout was a pure skate/punkband, playing covers of bands like Millencolin, Bodyar and No fun at all. But as time went by, the schoolboys got older and realized that playing skatepunk just wouldn´t do it.
That summer they all listened to thelocal heros The Bones second album "Bigger than Jesus", in their tractors, and everything became clear.
This is the shit!
The same summer, the bassman Henrik, had to leave the band to study.
Simon Weidenberg, a local musician joined the team.
Infinite Wipeout did a number of succsessful performances the next couple of years.
2003 the engine stoped though. Boredom and lack of inspiration made it impossible to even rehearse.
The following years there were no noise scaring the animals on the fields of Ramdala.
In the autumn of 2006, after the harvest, three of the boys met up to discuss the future of the band.
The only solotion was to let Robin go and to make the sound even more brutal. They traveled around Ramdala recording diffrent Agricultural and forestry machinery. Some weeks later, after listening to the recordings, the boys had decided. The John Deere 8100 Diesel V8 was the sound the were looking for, and that´s the sound of raw POWER they´re trying to copy!
WE´RE ALL FARMERPUNKS!!!
