Described as one of the best young Bodhran players on the scene, has gained wide spread recognition from being a past All-Britain Champion, All-Ireland Finalist and founder member of the 'BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards 2004/2005' finalists Chillum and festival show-stoppers, The Park Bench Social Club touring many of the major UK festivals.
Will is now recording and touring with GUINNESS band Cladda (formerly The Dogs of Tralee) and Celtic super-group Mabon. With which, he has recorded their long awaited second studio album, OK Pewter.
In addition to being in high demand on the folk circuit Will is a respected performer and collaborator throughout Europe, and Australasia, and aroused considerable interest from world musicians due to his unique Bhangra Bodhran style. His Collaborations include work with Artists such as Human Beatbox Jason Singh, Tabla wizard Aref Durvesh and Mercury Music Award winning Nitin Sawhney. A keen collaborator and educator, Lang piloted PBS6 - An audio-visual album, to be recorded 2009 in QLD and VIC, Australia. PBS6 focuses on the links between the Roots and Urban music of Britain and Australia.
2008 saw Lang work with Conductor Greg Beardsell for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain 25th Gala Celebrations at Birmingham Symphony Hall and Northern Spirit Singers for BBC Choir of the Year, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
Will is a sought after workshop facilitator and univeristy tutor working for folk education trusts - Folkus and Folk Southwest. In 2007 was invited to become Percussion tutor for the World-renowned Newcastle University Folk and Traditional music degree course.
