About Me

I am a Firefighter/Paramedic in Pierce County as well as the Music Director at the Gig Harbor United Methodist Church. I grew up with a strong background in the church, as my father is a Methodist Minister. Growing up in the church in Reno, Nevada gave me a good start at understanding what religion is about. It wasn't until I moved to Washington in 1997 that I discovered a relationship with Jesus Christ. I joined the worship band at my church and soon after was presented with the opportunity to lead the contemporary choir as well as the traditional choir. God has gifted me with a new list of songs, some of which have been used for Sunday morning worship at our church. My CD project is called "Between Fire and Hymns." We chose the name because I have been writing and recording between my job in the fire service and at the church. I have just started taking this music out of my church and my home. With all my trust in God and the support of my wife and friends, I am starting to play at area venues. Not as a concert, but a chance to worship with others, meet new people, and have the opportunity to fellowship with others in the name of Christ. God is the driving force in my life and through Him all things are possible.

Influences: Growing up in the 80's, I really liked the big hair bands. Poison, Ratt, Van Halen. Music with a cool sound and funky look. Now that I have a chance to decide on my own style of music, I still look to groups with a bit of flair but a true sound. Honest music.Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche, Chris Rice, Jars of Clay, Mercy Me, Scott Krippayne, Kutless, Casting Crowns, Caedmon's Call. Music that you can play in your car, sing loudly with, feel good, and become closer to the Lord.
Sounds Like: Hopefully me, with a hint of Lincon Brewster, Mercy Me, Chris Rice, Jars of Clay, with just a touch of David Lee Roth's style. But I dont have the hair anymore.
