About Me
TheBombshelter.net
TheBombshelter.net, Bombshelter a metaphor for underground, is the brainchild of Ryan Duhigg a hip-hop head and music lover from Long Island, NY. Ryan wanted a channel to connect people with the underground music world and give new artists a new place to be heard.. kinda like an internet CBGS, but with a way for listeners to scan through music and find hot new music that you might not yet hear on the radio. There hadn't been a site that satisfied his specifics. So he then wanted to build the site and premier some of the rawest and most talented up-and-comers who need to be herd! ..It's a website that makes it easier for listeners to familiarize themselves with new acts, and have alternatives to the mainstream. And! It would give artists a new outlet to blowup! all designed in a way to be user friendly and easiy to operate. ..THIS is your spot to find music from all artists new and old, and hear some new music. This is not your local pop station. It's refreshing.. It's a place for people to retreat from the mainstream and check out that new raw talent from all regions of the world! YOUR SPOT!

Ryan on Bombshelter, "I was chillin at my boys rock show, an unsigned band, with awesome music at the level of major artist you'll find at the franchise music store, but only might run into at CBGB's, and said to myself.. this is the stuff I wanna be playing in my car when I am cruisin around.. There needs to be a specific place to find this! Then it occured to me how many other bands must be out there.. Then I thought, "how cool would it be to go to a website and a playlist just pops up with these kinds of people playing." And how cool would it be for bands to get there start with being herd on an outlit like this? Now that CBGB's is a thing of the past, we can create something that bands can use in a similar way. It doesn't replace the live play aspect, but it helps them get herd. So.. Anyway, I then I thought of the database or the list organized and broken up and filed into searchable categoies. This can turn into something bigger.. a place for Artist to grow and create a fanbase and have a significant part in the growth of your music, a place with resources to create new music, collaborate with other artists, network, and exchange ideas. And that's how The Bombshelter was born!"
Shout out to Buddah, Scott, Rahlo, Ultra High Frequency, and especially to all my Kings Park people who support the project~
