Books:

any Henry Miller, Joan Didion, Richard Russo, Joyce Carol Oates, Margaret Atwood, Camus, Hesse, Anais Nin, some Philip Roth, some John Steinbeck... Both James Frey books were awesome. And all books about crazy teenage girls. Cruddy by Lynda Barry was an especially good one. I hate books of short stories although I did love Everything That Rises Must Converge by Flannery O'Connor and Wonder Spot by Melissa Bank (those were sorta like short stories, right?) Just finished I Am Charlotte Simmons and LOVED IT.
