Hello, My name is brian I am a 31 yr old male. I live in buffalo NY and I started this myspace page because I never really thought that domestic violence wasn't a problem worth worring about until one day I became friends with someone that was involved in a abusive relationship. I always thought that people that were in those relationships were their by choice and that if they wanted to leave they would. After becomeing friends with someone who is avictim I realized that its not that simple and what a ignorant outlook I had on it. The reason I had such a outlook was because of lack of education on the matter. As I started looking into the matter I couldn't help but think about all the people that are out their that are involved in a violent relationship and are stuck their because of a lack of education on the matter. They don't have the support or the knowldge to know where to go or what to do. I couldn't help but think about how they must feel. The feeling of being along and issolated and haveing no one or no where to turn to. I started this page because I beleave everyone we meet teaches us something and touches us in a one way or another. If by starting this myspace page 1 person on myspce reads it and finds the courage to get help and leave a abusive relationship or gives someone the knowledge to help someone in that situation then that is one person that I have helped and all I had to do was start a myspace page.
