The Label is a Baltimore Hip-Hop group that formed in late 2006. They were all close friends and decided to put their talents together in a group. Before The Label, Bloc was in a group known as "Double A Batteries". Matic spent all of his time on school, and writing bars day after day, and DJ MAN was in a rap group years ago. Bloc and Matic are the main artists of the group, while Randy a.k.a. JR and DJ MAN have been featured in several tracks. DJ MAN also does behind the scenes work for The Label, such as graphic designs and beats. Even though The Label started out by recording on low-class equipment with industry beats, in the summer of 2007, only 6 months after they began recording, they joined Profitt Productions. It was at this time that they truly began to shine. And even with the Baltimore Hip-Hop scene as unrecognized as it is, The Label's true talent shows through in every line they write. One thing is for sure; These artists are here to change Hip-Hop, and they're not leaving anytime soon.
