TIA Birthplace: Columbus, OhioTia grew up singing in the church choir. Her unmistakable style fuses gospel, jazz, rock, and rhythm and blues. She set out to be a singing star when she was a teenager, first with a girl group, Teen Dream,then as a solo artist. Tia first found her niche in the music business after being signed to a record deal with Muscle Shoals Records at the age of 15. She opened for such greats as Roger Troutman, and Cameo. Tia was also given the amazing opportunity to audition for the famous Star Search.In 1998, Tia caught the attention of soulful great Gerald Levert, joining the Levert family for 9 years. She went on with Gerald to tour to such places as South Africa, Hawaii, London, just to name a few, until his untimely death in November, 2006. Tia has also sang background for such artist: Miki Howard and Johnny Gill.Tia is currently trying to pursue her own singing careerSo look out for Tia.....coming soon.....
