Singer / songwriter and musician, Kartik began music at the tender age of 5 learning classical Hindustani vocal from his mother. At the age of 10, he was introduced to the violin and by 15 was already winning prizes in prestigious school and community competitions. This formed the basis for his love of music, both eastern and western. He is currently studying with world renowned singer Swati Natekar who comes form a long family tradition of music in India.
While at University, he wrote, produced and sang on his first release‘The Way We Freak’, which was to become a UK Garage underground classic. It featured on various dance compilations including Ministry of Sound’s Ayia Napa Vol 1 and DJ Luck and MC Neat Presents.
Following a chance meeting with then, little known producer Rishi Rich, Kartik’s musical pursuits diversified. Forming a close bond with Rishi and Mentor, Kartik’s production and vocal talents were utilised on numerous projects including the new Rishi Rich Project 'Double R' album, 'Broke' by the Mentor Kolektiv and Juggy D’s self titled debut album.
