Peter Winne and Sam McDougle, the core members of The Broadway Marys, play many styles of American music, from old-time fiddle tunes, acoustic blues and country, to electric honky tonk and rock n roll. Sam is in the band The Powder Kegs and Peter is a former member of that band. With TPK they have performed in settings such as NPR's "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrison Keillor, The Champlain Valley Folk Festival, Higher Ground Ballroom (VT), Sullivan Hall (NYC), Club Passim (Boston), and many other venues in the US. The boys have also stumbled into and played at a number of square and contra dances. Give a shout.
The 'Broads' play a bit on the porch and imbibe some fine Virginia wine. That's Lee Johnson on the doghouse bass.
This song actually has the far less suggestive title "Lonesome Road Blues."
