ReBorn is the artistname for Born Meirlaen, a 26 year-old Belgian singer-songwriter.
Working as a soundengineer and musician in a large studio facility, his colleagues persuaded him to participate in the Belgian 'Pop-Idol 2004'. He ended in an unexpected 5th place and took some time to write the right songs he felt like singing... He didn't do this all by himself, but co-wrote with producers and songwriters like Hans Francken, Ingrid Mank, Vincent Pierins, Greig Watts, Paul Drew, Peter Barringer...
2 years later, ReBorn released his debut album on ARS Entertainment, one of the biggest players on the Belgian market. "Fools Rush In" was a top 10 album and includes 4 huge airplay hits on Belgian national radio. The first single "Fools Rush In" did pretty good and went up to #10, but 3rd single "Don't Ever Go" sold even better and went up to #4 in the Belgian charts.
ReBorn is currently touring Belgian clubs and playing festivals the coming summer. In the meanwhile, he's writing material for a second album and plans are being made for a major release on recordcompany Avex in Japan.
