They call me Elaine. I'm an anime/video/PC/tabletop game nerd. I own way too many anime posters, own far too many video game action figures, and I'm addicted to my DS. I enjoy people messaging me on AIM (pandapawlin) and yahoo (the_theif_of_night) immensely because I'm usually sitting at home bored, or messing about with some PC/PS2 game. Any excuse to get me out of the house (if you're local) is a godsend, especially if you're the type that loves to window shop game/anime merchandise and even buy something if we're brave. Old school Dir en Grey and Malice Mizer will always be my favorite choice of music, I still listen to them now and then.
As far as the animes I like really go, I'm more into the cutesy comedy genre like Lucky Star (I love you Konata, you're just like me) and Strawberry Marshmellow, but then I can tilt to the more serious types like Death Note when the story is amazingly creative. (Granted, I used to be just like you and think: 'Oh god, another Death Note lover,' then I finally watched it and I was hooked.) I'm also a nostalgic fan of the classics like Ranma 1/2, NGE, Serial Experiments Lain, and so on. Hayao Miyazaki is my absolute GOD. Every movie he has ever made has been pure gold, and I own them all (waiting on Panyo). I'm really big on the RPG types of games, Final Fantasy (IV, VI, VII, and IX being my faves), Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger, so on, and Survival Horror like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, and I'm going to buy Rule of Rose when I get the extra money. For PC, I love Diablo 2, but there's barely anyone to play with, and I love games like Fable, Black & White 2, and other 'create stuff and make people happy/rule the land' games. Who else is getting Sims 3 when it comes out? Omg. I miss playing D&D. Do you have a group weekend in person or online? Look me up, especially if you're old school 2nd edition, but 3rd and 3.5's alright too.
I do admit, I'm the type to get along with the guys more so than the girls because well - it's obvious. I like 'guy' stuff - even women, but that doesn't mean I'm not in touch with my 'lesbian' side. I do wear polo shirts, have super short hair, and coffee is my fluid of life, el oh el. I like to indulge in watching Queer as Folk and The L Word, even though both of those series are over, and The L Word ended -horribly- btw. Oh yeah, Doctor Who and Heroes is also -amazing!- I also have this thing for court shows like Judge Judy and People's Court, haha. I also keep myself busy on boring days by adding to and watching my movie collection, since there's nothing on TV these days except for Heroes. I used to be publicly gay (if you can really call it that) y'know - wear rainbows at least somewhere on my person, but -thank god- I grew out of that. I dunno, it just seems tacky now - to me.
