DIDDLEY

Music from Soul to Soul

About Me

DIDDLEY is a five member band with ties to Dayton, Ohio. The original band members are Jeff Powell and Kim Jones who began performing together in 1999 as an acoustic duo with Jeff on guitar. They appeared at several local establishments in northern Dayton, Ohio getting their start at Bunker's in Vandalia and Jack Ass Flats in Dayton, Ohio. Jeff released his first CD in January of 2000 entitled "I Want You To Know" recorded locally in Dayton, Ohio and mastered by Gary King at Refraze in Kettering, Ohio.Their professional sound was characterized by sweet harmony vocal performances. Later they had a trio arrangement with Joe Leon on guitar and vocals, but the full band that tours today wasn't formed until they were joined by Mitch Powers on bass guitar and vocals and Jimi Sengl on drums. The band took a new direction when Dan Smith joined the band as the drummer in late 2005 and was a part of Diddley until August of 2008. Yet another new direction occurred in September of 2008 when Jorge Nunez joined Diddley as the newest member as the drummer. This original line up had great success with their local friends anchored chiefly at Jack Ass Flats with additional gigs at Tumbleweed Connection in the Dayton Oregon District, The Dublin Pub also in Dayton and The Taylorsville Tavern in Huber Heights, Ohio.In October of 2007, Diddley's cd entitled "I Had a Good Time Last Night" was released. It was recorded and mastered by Gary King at Refraze in Kettering, Ohio. The original songs were written by Kim Jones, Jeff Powell, Joe Leon and Kelly McMillen. The band is anxious to get back into the studio next year and begin recording their sophmore CD. Thanks to all of the Diddley faithful for so many years of support, love and MUSIC FROM SOUL TO SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Layout made by
