i've got this recording thing down to a science. the way i think is pretty simple and goes like this- DON'T SUCK! if you follow a few simple tips, i can make you a professional recording for a better price than most of those shit studios are charging. if you decide to really take my advice, i can make you sound exactly like all of the bands you're already trying to sound like anyway!tip one: TIME!!!!!!!! if everyone in your band is not able to play to a click, you're obviously not a musician and nobody wants to hear your music anyway (i'm sorry but it's true)tip two: CUT THE FAT!!! nobody wants to hear a six minute song with a two minute intro (if i don't hear vocals by thirty seconds, i usually just skip to the next track)tip three: IF YOUR SINGER SUCKS, FIRE THEM AND GET SOMEONE WHO CAN SING. they don't have to be great, they just can't suck!!tip four: GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER! know the tempo of your songs including tempo changes, know the arrangements, don't wait until you get to the studio to figure all of this out.alright if you do all of that we should be able to knock this out efficiently and cost effectively. contact me if you have any more questions or want to book studio time.
