About Me

This music is the work of The Old Wizard written on the Amiga for a number of different groups which included Nerve Axis UK, Zero Defects Italy, and Phaze 101 Malta. It was back in the days of Sound Tracker a program to sequence music using samples or synthetic computer generated sound, this required a musician and programmer to achieve.I first started playing the Piano at the age of 8, but it was not until the Amiga I started writing computer music.I started my Computer programming life with my first Computer which was built from a kit back in the days you had to be able to solder, none of this plug and play.It was a ZX81 and had just 1k of ram, to you who only think in Megabytes that’s very little. The Amiga a computer out performed the PC in its day and became possably the beginning of the concept around the PC is built today.I took it into my head to convert my old data into mp3 format, not so easy as connecting a PC to an Amiga and recording it if you do not have an Amiga anymore. So the sounds you hear are from the original data from the Amiga run on a PC, I had to convert the data on floppy disks from Amiga to PC format just to start this project. After many years of not writing music I have decided to start writing again…watch this space…
