About Me

Originally from Hartland, Michigan a small town just North of Ann Arbor, Jimmy grew up in an intense musical environment especially being so close to Motown and the motor city jazz scene. Having relocated to Nashville in 1990 by way of Southern Florida sparked an intense career boost. In 1995 joined Atlantic's grammy nominated group "Confederate Railroad" and began a fourteen year journey as lead guitarist. 2008 marked a new evolution with Jimmy following his heart to "speak his own truth" as an artist with deep soulful emotion. A devout desciple of the Duane Allman and John Mclaughlin schools of tone and improvisation engrained a unique phrasing within Jimmy all his own. Breathing chordal thoroughfares amidst big warm tones fill the air with a sense of deep spirituality. The debut release of "PREMONITION" is music that breathes with warm acoustic and electric guitar tones reaching deep into his soul to convey a holistic message of the blues. The songs are offerings/ musical prayers for Mother Earth, Freedom, our Fallen Ancestors and ultimately Peace...With a deep inspiraton of influences (Duane Allman, Jeff Beck, John Mclaughlin, Tony Rice and John Coltrane), the spirit is present here with a heart touching wisdom... Deep soulful tones are the trademark here for Jimmy...Music that is meant to heal and transcend peace***
