Seether Tribute

For those of you that may wonder how all this got started, let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Ben Arredondo, and I am the creative force behind the band "Cradle". A couple of years ago, I was told by some of my fans that I sounded like "that dude from Seether". They had thought that the current Seether single that was on the radio was a song from Cradle. I had heard this comment a few more times later on, and I decided to buy a Seether album, and hear for myself.
I had bought "Disclaimer II" and immediately began gorging myself in the sound of Seether. I had never heard anything like it. Well, I say that, but really, no other band had impacted me quite like that since Nirvana. Cobain had given me a reason to want to play my own tunes, so instead of conforming; I had begun to heavily concentrate on writing what is now known as "grunge". I realize now that what Cradle's music is categorized these days..."post grunge". mmmmm... I must be getting old.
I started listening to EVERYTHING Seether had put out. All the way down to the Saron Gas days. And since I've been told many times that I sound similar to Shaun Morgan, why not record some tributes? I decided to cover some of the more acoustic stuff. Mainly songs from "One Cold Night". I began with "Broken". I had even purchased the same make and model of guitar that Shaun used on the album/DVD.
So, what do I do now? Well, my first stop was Myspace. The response was overwhelming. I had named the page "Plastic Man" with the caption: "Seether covers and tributes done the right way" After about a week or so, after gaining hundreds of responses and friend requests by dedicated Seether followers, Myspace had cancelled my account. I was devastated. I didn't understand. In the end, it turns out that Myspace had determined that I was uploading original Seether songs, and simply stating that I had covered them. What a bunch of kill-buzzes ( I meant to say assholes).
So here it is. A site dedicated to Seether Tributes and covers. Not only will I contribute, but along the way I discovered that I wasn't the only dedicated musical Seether fan. So in addition to my own tributes and covers, other musicians/Seether fans can contribute as well.
