First...there is this girl..she rocks my world. She is the yin to my yang, I couldn't live without her.I like to Read, I love to ski. I love soccer. I like to write. I like to sit in my hammock, I love the smell of rain, I like to drive with my windows down and my hand out catching the breeze, I like to sing loudly in the shower, I am addicted to shrimp sauce...(its habit forming), I hate to make plans, I vary from day to day, you never know what you might get.... I will try anything once.
The list is long: I would love to meet Maya Angelou, Ghandi, Chief Joseph, Mother Teresa. I am an eternal book worm. If it can be read.. I probally have read it.
I also always welcome new friends. Anyone who sees meaning in the everyday, who is open and honest. Anyone who is willing to laugh at themselves and be silly sometimes.
Anything goes my favs are The Beatles, I adore CCR, and Simon and Garfunkle, Joan Jett, Billy Joel, Joss Stone, Kristy Lee etc etc... I am an old soul when it comes to my music, 60's and 70's are my fav genre..I really will listen to anything though. If it has a beat and good words, I'm there.
I love musicals, and old Black and White movies. I like comedies sometimes but prefer a movie with substance, my favs: The red Violin, Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, The Dead Poets Society. Fried Green Tomatoes, Gone with the Wind.
Not a huge TV watcher. I like ER, CSI, and love the L word.
I can't list all the books I love it would be endless. If it can be read. I have read it.
Every genre, every topic. I am a dork.
This is my favorite past time.
Right now, on the night stand is Another Mother Tongue, Aloud@ the nuyorican poets cafe, Light in August, and The poetry of Robert Frost.
The books will continue to stack up, and fall into the floor. And Drew will huff at me, and place them back on the over crowded book shelves.
I don't really have any heroes. I believe everyone has something great in them. And that in the right situation it comes out. And they shine.
