//////////////////////////////////////////I have a huge passion for many different types of music, but I'm especially crazy about rare & commercial Soul from the last 40 years and I love my 80's Boogie, Funk & Disco.I've collected records and CD's for around 20 years now, it started off with commercial releases from the late 70's & 80's, groups like Earth, Wind & Fire, Shalamar, Kool & The Gang, and one track which has always stuck with me from the first time I heard it when it was released - The Pointer Sisters' "Automatic"! I just fell in love with the synths. Another record I remember hearing on the radio sometime in the 80's was Phyllis Hymans' phenomenal "You Know How To Love Me", which has been my favourite track for a few years now! When I got to high school in the 80's I began buying Motown & Northern Soul singles from one of the teachers, legendary DJ Soul Sam. Ever since then I've been collecting original vinyl and CD's on a regular basis. I've been DJing in public since the age of 10, starting off as a mobile DJ, followed by residencies at numerous bars and clubs for Luminar Leisure, First Leisure and Yes Leisure, playing to crowds of 200 - 1,350 on a regular basis. / On the more pratical side - I've played drums since I was old enough to walk and over the years have also taught myself bass, guitar, keyboards (anything I can get a tune out of). I currently play drums with Hill Briggs and we are currently recording an album and preparing to do live dates very soon. The album will feature some big names from the world of Soul & Jazz, more information on this to come very soon. I'm also playing drums for Rock band "Chilled".
