citizens , students who use CPS transportation , etc., in the Columbus, Ohio area...
Do you have problems getting your safety related reports or complaints resolved or even ADDRESSED adequately
with Columbus Public Schools administrators and officials?
Do you get the run-around when you call CPS about safety related issues ?
Phone calls unreturned? Passed from person to person? Told someone else is responsible for the problem you're calling about? Treated rudely? Ignored completely (even if they
treated you nicely at first)?
Then PLEASE tell us about it!!! STUDENTS, PARENTS and ALL CONCERNED CITIZENS can post here and are welcome to contact us for help. We need a CHANGE in Columbus! We also want to hear from other GROUPS and ORGANIZATIONS
working on safety related issues regarding the Columbus Public School System, too! This site will now be a hub of organization and collaboration of efforts and resources for us all. Operating in an individual and fragmented way, we can't change this corrupt and dangerous system quickly. Together, we can. If you're wondering what I could possibly hope to gain by doing this, the answer is the safety & health
of our ALL our children. This site was originally a result of this
weather related challenge that I, as a concerned Columbus parent, issued to Dr. Gene Harris and the CPS Board that went all but ignored and the frustration and resistance I
personally encountered with this system. There will be more on this site soon to tell you more about this.Long story short...as I've been through this process, I am ALARMED to learn HOW MANY OF US THERE ARE TRYING TO GET SAFETY
RELATED
CHANGES MADE, and that our pleas are falling on DEAF ears. Now this site has become an attempt to become a hub of organization and
resources for the fragmented groups and individuals trying to push for change and an archive of our MANY personal horror stories, in a UNITED effort to bring these dangerous practices into the public arena. Of course the number one and ULTIMATE goal we have
is to KEEP OUR STUDENTS SAFE . Join in
and help us make a change in Columbus!
