About Me

Horse-Sense Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if one stops the car, or is walking by, one will notice something quite amazing.
Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing. Listening, one will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, one will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to her bridle is a small bell. It lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her.
As one stands and watches these two friends, one sees how she is always checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray.
Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges.
He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.
Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by God and those whom he places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see God.
Thanks to all of you who have led me these past few years when I have been the "blind horse."
Voice of the Voiceless
I am the Voice of the Voiceless
Through me the dumb shall speak
Til the world deaf ear be made to hear
The wrongs of the wordless weak.
Oh shame on the mothers of mortals
Who do not stoop to teach
The sorrow that lies in dear dumb eyes
The sorrow that has no speech.
From street, from cage, from kennel
From stable and from zoo
The wail of my tortured kin proclaims the sin
But I am my brother's keeper
And I shall fight their fight
And speak the word for beast and bird
Till the world shall set things right.

Yigaquu osaniyu adanvto adadoligi nigohilvi nasquv utloyasdi nihi (May the Great Spirit's Blessings Always Be With You) Blessings,Pita1I am a woman that struggles, as we all do. But my struggles bring me Love and Happiness. I have a small farm and take in abused and neglected animals. My goal with each and every one is to restore their health and well being. When this is reached and much Love is shown this is when my babies finally get their spirit back. To me this is the most beautiful thing to see. Now you can enjoy with me...
I am Smokey Blue. I am 28 years old. I spent my life working at taking handicap kids for therapy rides. When I hit 27 my vision started to get poor. That is when it was decided that i could work no more. A phone call was made and I found a new home. Sister Wahya opened her heart to me and many others. We now live in peace. We now live with Love
I am Eagle. I have been here for 16 years. I was able to live most of my life out in a pasture with cows. When that was sold I lived in a murky stall that was 5' x 12'. My ankles still have the scars where they tied sand bags to my ankles to break me. They never were able to get my spirit. I fought with all I had and won. I am a mustang that should be free. We all know that there is no freedom. We are a market. We make profit for humans. But I will never be anyones profit now. I am free in a sense as no one is trying to take my spirit now.
I will be adding pictures and stories here soon. I want to thank you for letting me share my family with youLove and Light to all

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

All voices for the voiceless. I am making this site to help people understand that animals need Love and respect just as we do. You will not see pictures on this page of abuse. Yes it will be told of their pasts. But I want this site to show the these animals in full spirit and Love. The way it should be.

I have been taking in abused and neglected animals for over 20 yrs. It has been my life's passion and these animals are very much like my children. In all this time I have paid out of my own pocket for their feed and vet bills, working 2 jobs if necessary to make sure they are properly cared for.Recently my well has run dry thanks to the over pumping by the city of St. Petersburg from the aquafer that feeds the wells in this area. My friends were able to dig and provide a temporary water supply at least for my animals. A small, makeshift filter was put on this for safe drinking water. The only problem is this wont last and I do not have water in the house. A much deeper re-drilling for my well is badly needed.I have many good friends that are shopping for the best deal for me but even if a deal is found I will not be able to provide the funds because I was hit by a car in January and have been deemed permanently disabled. My case is on going and my lawyer has advised me not to file for Disability until this court case is over. So as you can see, without the ability to work there is no steady flow of money coming in right now. I do have some savings but that is what I am currently living off of & using for the feed & other needs of my furry family. Now, I am not one that has ever been good at asking for help, but as it stands presently I see no choice. Once again, thanks to the kindness of good friends, I have a PayPal account set up on behalf of my farm. If you can find it in your heart to help, please know that your contributions will not go unrecognized and will be humbley accepted with gratitude.

Sincerely, Anjika Pita
