My Name is Wendy Crane. I'm just a simple gal... in a complex sort of way. HA! My husband's name is Reese (my best friend, soulmate, the man who stole my heart forever and whom I love more than life). We live out in the sticks in the beautiful rolling hills of Pennsylvania. Although, we are metro at heart, we enjoy the peace and quiet of our little plot of land. Every now and then we fill our need for city life by visiting some of our favorite places in Philly.
Basically, my philosophy is that I'm on a journey. A journey to explore more and more of the mysteries that are found in God. There is no way I will ever reach the end of this journey, as the depths of God are fathomless. But if I know Him better today than I did two years ago, I'm on the right path. Although I have given up on Him many times and have gone my own way, He has never given up on me. His endless love has always captured me.
Reese and I started a band called "Creekside Soul"... a mix of rock, country and soul. It's a great sound with a bunch of great musicians and friends. I'm having a blast! You can check out our website at www.creeksidesoul.com . Find out where we're playing and come rock out with us some night!
I was thrilled to find the background to "my space" you see here because it goes with the theme of a song I wrote (which is one of the original tunes we do in the band) called "The Tears I Cry." It's got a cool Latino feel! But it's a song about when someone close to you... a friend, a family member... is faced with tough times. It helps to have someone with you when you're completely broken to help carry your load, to feel your sorrow and cry out to the heavens for hope and healing on your behalf. We're not alone after all...
a river of passion flows ... whose waters embody ... the tears of God ... and the tears of man ... carrying the desires of heaven ... and the pains of humanity ... to a place of union
When Jesus walked this earth, He came to a place called Gethsemane. If you don't know the story, you can read about it. But, there, he cried out to God... and I believe the tears He cried at that moment had our names written on them. That's so cool.
My husband and I have this dream to one day have our own alpaca farm. They are such amazing animals and once you spend some time with them, you'll fall in love.
Thanks for visiting my site... the journey continues... I hope you join me. As my husband always says, "Rock out 'til you cross over!" ROTYCO!!
