MISSION STATEMENT
The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund, Inc. was founded, October 23, 2003 to help support surviving U.S. Military children who have lost a parent in the Afghanistan or Iraq wars by providing them with College Grants. Our College Grant Program has been expanded to include both U.S. Military children and spouses who have either lost a loved one as a result of the Afghanistan or Iraq wars or have a severely disabled parent or spouse who was injured during a deployment to either war. Our second objective is to help the surviving members of these families with financial assistance. Our goal is to make awards to applicants in need, some whose funds were raised in their particular State that have children under the age of 18, and who are in need of assistance with housing, repairs, utilities, medical expenses, groceries, clothing, school supplies and other expenses deemed necessary in order to help alleviate their need. There is no substitute for a parent, but we strive to ease their pain and suffering and honor the memories of our fallen soldiers.
The “Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund, Inc.”, was founded to honor our service men and women who have lost their lives for our continued freedom. All proceeds and donations are tax deductible under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our awards since our first application was received in January 2005 total $252,105.81. We are pleased to report that our admin/management expenses for the year ending 2006 were 5% of total revenues. Military families with children experiencing financial burdens as well as children and spouses attending higher education institutes are encouraged to apply! Visit our website at: www.cfsrf.org or www.childrenoffallensoldiersrelieffund.org to help give a gift back to those who serve. Volunteers are needed to represent the CFSRF. If you are interested email us! Contact us to find out how you can donate funds specified for a particular military unit, State or need.
Our Grant Committee has awarded $84,500.00 in College Grants to three children and six spouses who have lost a parent or spouse during their service in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars , $76,558.00 in financial assistance to surviving families with a combined total of eighteen children under the age of 18 and have provided assistance to our wounded military families in the amount of $91,047.81 since receiving our first applications in 2005.
