Charles Mostais, aka DJ Shy-O, began piano at 5.
After 10 years of classical and modern studies, he felt in the underground electronic scene in 1994.
He started as DJ in 1996.
Shy-O has always been an activist of the House-Techno underground scene. Jumping from style to style.
Influenced by the trance-progressive sounds of that time (house keeper, Xanadou, Lunacy...) he turned to US house and Techno.
He had also been influenced by indian culture and music, country he loves over all!!
As DJ, he created and played for different organisations (Sweet Home, Fresh Air, Magic Garden... ) in clubs and festivals in France, UK and India (Batofar, La maroquinerie, Vinyl Club, Concorde Atlantique, Rain Club, Velocity Bombay, Cabaret sauvage...) and with well-known artists like: Playin’4 the city, Dj Deep, Mike-L, Agoria, Terry Francis, Djul’z, Jerome Pacman, Tom Parris, Alex Murak, Nico G, Cyril K, Dan Ghenacia, Silicone Soul, Talvin Singh...
He had the opportunity, thanks to his friend Beatrix and Brice from MAGIC GARDEN AGENCY, to organise and play for several Technoparades (1999 / 2004 / 2007)
Since 2004, he founded Objectif Groove, with his friend Louis Defressigne, and began residency in places and clubs like: LaMaroquinerie Paris, Autobus Imperial, Kith’Up club, Com’Antes.
Always playing raw, groovy and disturbing progressive house and techno tracks.
Since 2007, he joined the label FAT FORM rec, founded by his old friend Myriam, aka DJ Miss Tick.
His sets gets more Progressive and punchy. He begans parties in OPA Bastille and a residency at the CITHEA club in Paris: “FAT FORM NIGHTS†every first wednesday of the month.
Preparing his departure to Goa in November 2008, his goal is to devellop FAT FORM sounds and tracks in India and abroad.His sensibility and technical approach of the mix create a real relation between Dj and dance floor, a celebration of movements & sounds through rythms of life...
