About Me

Whatever the context, I often feel like I'm surrounded by LARPers amidst their games - and I used to have a history of ruining such events. I used to think and read more than now; I've started writing words again -not whole sentences mind you. I'm all about fostering Integral lifeways, D.I.Y., holistic existence and realising that at our deepest levels, we are already autonomous from the Military-Industrial-Intelligence-[Media/Music/Medical/Educat ional-Monopoly-Pharmaceutical-Psychological-Philosophical]-C omplex...and at some point I will gain the courage of my convictions and actually change something, fix something, build something, plant something, foster something. I like to share with others! References upon request... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" ..

Books:

I would like to say there's no order to my secular reading habits - but there's probably no order to ANY of my reading habits, Neil Stephenson, Neil Gaiman, is also swell. H.P. Lovecraft, his magical realism was central to my adolescence. Topics of my general interest include assorted readings in above-mentioned philosophical fields, epistemic justification, pretheoretical thinking (Roy Clouser, and Hermann Dooyeweerd mostly), modern cases of exorcism, kids books; recently read Pinchbeck's, Breaking Open the Head, (a really fun introduction to ASCs/entheogens, etc, when he's not talking about himself and dispensing the usual stock pseudo-historical bits), erik von kuehnelt-leddhin, Forbidden archaeology, "Forteana" (assorted anomalous phenomena that factor into the "demon-haunted universe" of Sagan's nightmares; examples abound at forteantimes.com), ghost stories, (paranormal in general sans UFO's), history of ideas, Academic interest in:, Freemasonry, Hermeticism, and related Western Mystical traditions (and ensuing continuities, influence, etc), history of symbolism, homeschooling, Traditionalist School, Ananda Coomaraswamy, (esp. on art history), Rene Guenon, Titus Burckhardt, seyyed hussein nasr, Huston Smith, etc), medieval origins of science, Holmes Rolston, (is my favorite author in "religion and science" issues);, chesterton, c.s. lewis, loren eiseley, rene daumal, In jewish philosophy/learning, Rav Kook, Rav Yehuda Amital, R. Eliezer Berkovits, Rabbi Avraham Sutton,. I've of recent gotten interested in theory in 'Information' (esp. consequences in relating to what we know/believe, etc, as "mere information/data" and how we know it as just so much "information processing"; cognitivism). Neil Postman, is a recent reading, Theodore Roczak, later. "Occult" systems and LitCrit squished in with semiotics, "Hermeticism" and transcendentalist uses/readings of language; Cognition and media, paleography, digitial media, development of the Alphabet, theory/history of Taxonomy, organization of knowledge (and how it affects how we "see" it; usual media criticism stuff)...I'm going to stop now.
