With a BA Honours degree in Translation/Spanish & Latin American Studies from the London Metropolitan University Daniel Martinez a.k.a. Guanche_dj, originally from the Canary Islands has always been in love with music. For the past seven years he has been DJ’ing in various clubs in London. He has played in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Granada and Poland as well. His music style covers pretty much the whole dance spectrum: House, Funky Beats, Electro, Breaks, Techno, Trance, Hard Dance, Hard House, Psycodelic and Hard Trance. As Martin Russ explains in his book, Sound Synthesis and Sampling: “Dance music has one purpose: music to dance to. Simplicity and repetition are therefore key elements…” At present Guanche is doing another degree in Music Technology Specialist at the London College of Music, Thames Valley University where he is developing skills that are appropriate to contemporary sound and music pre- and post production.
