my name is zac gvirtzman and i play the piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute, bass guitar, accordion and a few other bits and pieces. my main interest is in composition, but i also play jazz, klezmer and some other stuff. i like to improvise free as well, write poetry and sing songs. my main musical activity is busking, which i usually do alone on the clarinet. i also play in a few bands, including Quentin Tarantino & the Reservoir Dogs, an instrumental funk group with a taste for criminal glorification, and The Transylvaniacs, a recent project aiming to fuse pop, punk and Eastern European folk music with the imagery of the circus. i am experienced in both teaching and playing music for a variety of function settings. last summer i took part in a collaboration with Freefall Dance Company in Grenoble and this is what happened on the night of the fete de la musique - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItQmmAq4bZg VIVA LA MUSIQUE
