About Me

The internationally acclaimed Raven Brass is a young aspiring group of musicians assembled in Huntsville, Texas. Since 2006, Raven Brass has dedicated themselves to bringing good music to young faces and entertaining the public with their diverse choice of repertoire and genres in music. The brass quintet prides themselves in performing new and original music for brass quintet, as well as traditional classical arrangements and jazz music in all genres and styles. Most recently, Raven Brass was asked to perform in the country of China, where they toured through six cities performing music of the Americas to our foreign friends. Currently, the Raven Brass quintet performs frequently at young person's concerts and public recitals throughout Texas, which has made them favorites among educators, and enthusiasts.

Edgar Jaime is from Houston, TX where he attended Channelview High School and is a graduate of Sam Houston State University. A past finalist of the National Trumpet Competition, Edgar is an active freelancer throughout the Houston area and teaches privately for the Klein and Spring school districts.
Jason Robb grew up in Columbus, Ohio before settling in the Dallas area where he attended Berkner High School. A graduate from SHSU, the National Trumpet Competition finalist is a band director at Knox Junior High, and remains an active performer in the Houston area.
Josh Gibson grew up in Pasadena, TX where he attended Sam Rayburn High School. Josh is a graduate of Sam Houston State University, and is a band director at York Junior High. Josh has had a strong presence at the Southwestern Horn Conference as a competitor and performer for several years.
Stephen Buescher from The Woodlands, TX is entering his final year at Sam Houston State University. Stephen is an active both on and off campus, keeping an active freelance schedule in the Houston area, and performing principal roles in the school’s top ensembles. During his summers, Stephen performs on cruise ships, where this past summer he performed for three months in Alaska.
Casey Tucker from Spring, TX is entering his third year at Sam Houston State, having previously studied at Interlochen, and has served as principal in both the wind ensemble and symphony orchestra since his freshman year. Casey is an active freelancer, and competitor in the Leonard Falcone Tuba Competition where he has been a finalist in both the student and artist division.
