Iwo Jima

About Me

Iwo Jima is a modern rock 'n' roll-band from Copenhagen in Denmark. The band was founded 1st of March 2008 by Lennart Bünger and former lead singer Mathias Lima. Lennart had been writing tracks and lyrics for a couple of years and several different musicians played for the band during the first year. In October 2008 the band played its first real concert. It took place at The Rock in Copenhagen. At this concert the band consisted of Mathias Lima (vo), Lennart Bünger (el-g, keys), Kasper Svendsen (el-g, keys), Yannick Bünger Kristensen (el-b) and Emil Stampe Frøsig (dm).
Every single member of Iwo Jima is different from the others - often when it comes to music, but we are all very comprehensive and are not afraid to mix pop and rock with triphop, indie, and electronica or hard rock with classical music.
In short words: "If we think it sounds good, we'll play it."
