OM is symbolic for me for many reasons, primarily it is The Sound................. the sound of everything.....the universe......unity.....forever and constantly vibrating..... OM is also a spiritual, religious, magical, mysterious, bonding vibrational thingy........Vibes Man!!!.............. At the end of the day, like all sound it has to be heard....felt...experienced........words can never capture it.................................................. Great scope for me and my music....................................................... ............................................................ ...Speaking of which i've been working on a load of tracks. I want them to be experimental fun, funky and chunky, sometimes edgy, techy, and even cheeky selection .................some are here for you to hear....................................they are mostly my ideas made on my own and some were made with various buddies including Tristan, Tim Healy, Tarek & Gerry from Pure Bass.I hope they represent and salute the different sonic styles which have influenced me through the years, whilst bumping them up a notch.............. Thanks for listening..... Lets get it OM!!!Meanwhile here's some background stuff about me............I started DJ-ing in the early nineties, having been inspired by the UK acid house scene. I was actually more involved in the beginning of the UK trance scene, playing at parties like Gumbo & Return to the source and throwing my own called “Skylab” parties. This is when I decided to get involved in the studio and this ended up with running my own label “Aquatec Records”. We released my early tunes and those of my good friends and fellow DJ/Producers Tristan Cooke and Tim Healy.................................................... The DJ-ing was taking off and as the trance/party scene spread I have been asked to play all over the UK and in many other countries; Holland, France, Switzerland, Portugal, Greece, Israel, S.Africa, India, Brazil and Argentina................................................... ..................... After giving up the label to dedicate myself to writing and playing tunes, my next project was “Green Oms” with Dick Trevor. We wrote several tracks and an album together " Coming Through In Waves " and for a couple of years were signed to Dragonfly/Kamaflage Records............................................... Since then, and largely thanks to my music, i met and then married the most beautiful girl in the world, and that kept me pretty busy for a while, but i was only taking a rest from the studio. Now i'm back and raring to go with a solo Jon Om project, aswell as collaborations with Gerry from Pure Bass, DJ Tarek, and of course Dickster ............................................................ ............................................................ ...........
