About Me

"With their wide array of influences, MonoStereo delivers an eclectic blend of emo tinged rock that packs a powerful punch to any listener. They capture a unique sound that is very modern in technique but alludes to many of the classics that lead them into a music scene in the first place. Their music is heartfelt without being contrived; powerful without being overbearing; a beautiful balance of raw emotion and pop sensibility."
-Shawn Massak (Mass Recovery Promotions)
MonoStereo is an alternative rock quartet from Lunenburg Massachusetts that formed in 2004 after Mark Ragusa (drummer) and Matt Penniman (singer) decided that they wanted to start a band together. They quickly recruited Kyle Forrest (lead guitar) and Tim Jobin (bass guitar) to complete the lineup. They immediately started writing songs in Tim's basement and preparing for their first show, which was a high school battle of the bands that they ended up winning. They started creating a small fanbase in their hometown and started gaining general recognition in their area. For the past year MonoStereo was in the studio recording their debut release A Reason To Delay Your Answer; a ten track collection of their best songs at the time that was released fall 2006. Now coming into their own sound and moving full speed ahead, MonoStereo is ready to take on Boston and will be planning shows in the area in the near future.
