About Me

I was born and raised in a kibbutz near Haifa. After a friend of mine taught me some chords during the 11th grade I started taking guitar lessons at the beginning of the 12th grade, not long before I turned 18. For some reason when I started taking the guitar lessons I felt like I should start writing songs, just felt natural to me, so I started writing texts for songs, hopping to write music for them someday. I had weekly guitar lessons during that school year. Shortly after graduating high school I was recruited to the Israeli army and stopped taking guitar lessons for three years, luckily I still had time to play guitar and jam with my friends. In my last year in the army friends of mine had a band called "Ha Ashkenazim" and they had no bass player, so I borrowed an electric bass guitar from another friend of mine and gladly stepped in to fill the bass player position. After I was relieved from the army I found a guitar teacher in Haifa and started taking lessons again. About a year after that I started studying communication in Yezreel Valley College and had no extra time or money for guitar lessons. Since then I'm on my own, learning from books, magazines, the Internet and friends. I've built a web site for Ha Ashkenazim as an assignment for a class I took in college, you can check it out here: www.geocities.com/kusit14 it's in Hebrew, BTW. These days I am a college graduate, still playing the guitar and writing when I get inspired.I have recently moved to Ramat Gan and am working in Meimad TV studios.
