Sam Farrer

Sam Farrer grew up in the small town of Athens, Texas with 4 younger brothers whom all shared one twelve string guitar. Sam is self taught acoustic guitarist. He loves playing old country, rhythm and blues. Through his early years of growing up his first influence was his Uncle Earl Scroggins who played the bass guitar with such greats as Elvis Presley, George Jones, Roy Clark, Earnest Tubbs, Lester Flatts & Earl Scruggs. Sam Farrer's sound is a mixture of traditional old country, gospel and southern rock.
Over the years Sam Farrer has founded many bands such as Midnight Breeze that have preformed at many clubs, fund raiser, charity events, weddings, socials and fairs through out East Texas and Central Arkansas. From small dives with chain link fence around the band stand to big honkey tonks. No matter how big or small the venue Sam plays the same at every event.
Back in 1998 Sam Farrer and his band were offered the chance to go to Branson to be the opening band for Dolly Parton which was a wonderful offer that ended as fast as it came. Sam Farrer was the only one looking to further his career in music unlike the other members. From that day on Sam has vowed to leave no road left untraveled. Through the good and the bad he has traveled the same path and stayed strong and focused on his music.
Sam Farrer has been a singer, songwriter for over 10 years. To date he has written around 30 song's. Each song he has written was created from his own thoughts, feelings and past experiences.
Over the past few years Sam has entered some of his song's in writing contests each giving him a great response to push him harder and further with his music and giving him the want to get his songs out there and share his talent with those around him.

Through out the past few year Sam's songwriting career has proven to him that only great things are yet to come. Sam sent in "Growing up without you" to The Paramount Group in Nashville, Tennessee who in return liked the song enough to send him a contract to produce it. Given how much this song meant to him he pondered a few days and just did not feel that he was ready to release this one song he held so close to his heart.
Sam Farrer would like to further his career in singing and song writing.
