Damian Montano is an active film/television composer, orchestrator and arranger in Los Angeles. Recently, Damian worked as a credited composer for the complete series of NBC’s Emmy-winning reality drama “Starting Over,†produced by Bunim-Murray. He also recently completed scoring the motion picture "Steam," featuring Ally Sheedy, Ruby Dee, and Chelsea Handler. Equally well-versed in writing concert music, he has been funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and has received commissions from ensembles across the country, including the Houston Symphony and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. His works have been performed by numerous ensembles, such as the Long Beach Symphony, Santa Monica Symphony, Northwestern University Chamber Orchestra, and Albuquerque Youth Symphony.
As a performer, Damian is a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and has played bassoon and contrabassoon with other southern California orchestras, including the LA Philharmonic and the San Diego Symphony. He performed on the scores to Spider-man 3, Wanted, Hancock, Step Brothers, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Tale of Desperaux, The Uninvited, and Pixar's Wall-E Video Game.
