Gday My name's Mat Kurukchi and im a guitarist from the Sydney area in Australia. i started playing at the age of 8 and began playing classical and later moved to the electric. I'm currently studying At the Sydney conservatorium of music where i major in classical guitar. I have just recently started to play with some well known and outstanding Aussie guitarists and have shared the stage with them. These include Les Gock from Hush, Steve Flack (Guitar Heros), Smoking Joe Robinson (a 15 year old guitarist who is phenomenal), Rob Bostock (the Bostocks), Bass player Michael Smith from the Atlantics, Mick O' Shea (drummer for Rose Tatoo) and Dom Turner from the Backsliders. In addition to this im studying classical guitar under the World Renown Greg Pikler from the conservatorium of music. I have just recently started on my first solo album which hopefully should be finished by end of the year.
