Sauna started out as Söndertröskers in the late 80´s or early 90´s by Mike & Jimmie then Pjär moved back to town and got to play the bass.
Jimmie & Gullberg had known each other since they where quiet young and Jimmie knew he liked to go out on town drunk as fuck and scream out Discharge and Extreme noise terror lyrics to people whether they liked it or not. The name Sauna came from a very intoxicated night at Öland fhsk when we got really shitfaced in their sauna discussing all great finnish hardcore bands. The band split up around 1993 or something like that, Pjär & Jimmie moved on to form another great kängcore band called 3 Way Cum.
Sauna released a demo, "Ei Leiki"on Crash-Mag records, a live casette with Hiatus & Svart snö on Elderberry records, a split with Disrupt "People killing people" and contributed to the compilations "Really fast 6" & "Distortion to Hell".
