About Me

Played an Irish folk song on a steel string at the Blacktown Civic Centre when I was eight. Stopped playing when I was eight and a half because I lacked determination. Was force-fed The Beatles for my entire childhood. Heard Doris Day and discovered I could imitate her singing in the shower. Got into thrash-punk-hardcore-metal type stuff and moved out of home. Realised that The Beatles were really quite good after all. Had some singing lessons with a jazz vocalist. Stopped singing because I lacked determination. Rarely sang and never wondered why. Many years later moved to Chile for love. Initially I didn't speak much Spanish, so I sang instead. Love didn't work (perhaps because I lacked determination). Came home and found some determination. Found a guitar and remembered the 3 chords from the Irish folk song. Wrote some songs. Played them to Patrick. He liked them. Been playing on couches and kitchen chairs ever since. Would love to upgrade to a medium-size stool on a smallish stage.
