Negative Impulse - RIP

About Me

N egative Impulse was an alternative rock trio from the town of Dundas, Ontario. The group consisted of three members: Trevor Heaslip, Nick Lopeke, and Spencer Heaslip. Their major influences at the time included Blink 182, Rage Against The Machine, Bullet For My Valentine, Sum 41, Rancid, and From First To Last. Over the 2008 March break, they recorded their first 5-song EP album entitled "The Perfect Disaster" and released it to the public in mid June. The Perfect Disaster hit new highs when it was nominated for Best Loud/Metal Recording of the Year in 2008 by the Hamilton Music Awards. Negative Impulse performed at numerous venues including the Dundas Cactus Festival, Gage Park, The Underground, Westside Concert Theatre, Casbah Lounge, Philthy McNasty's, Hamilton Bayfront, various fundraiser/benefit concerts, etc. In February of 2008, Negative Impulse competed in a local Battle of the Bands competition and won first place. Unfortunately, Negative Impulse faced significant conflict among band members and disbanded, each parting their separate ways.
