Christopher was born in Lima Peru on January 12 of 1976,his interest in music began when he was 5 years old, when he went to Disney World and heard “It’s a small world†song and came back to his house piano and started playing it….that’s the way all started!!!. He start playing piano at the age of 5 then he learn to play guitar and Peruvian Cajon, but he always wanted to play drums and his father was a drummer too on the 60..s. He started playing drums at the age of 15, took private lessons with a lot of teachers and study music on a Music School and also studied Business Management on the University of Lima. Chris started to play with many bands and solo artists to learned as much as possible of different styles and different approaching to music of the people he was playing with that help him to see the drums with other eyes.He loves progressive rock (Rush, Dream Theater, etc) and he think it give a different perspective to play pop rock music. He is a former member on a pop rock band called TK (www.tkrock.com , www.myspace.com/tkrock) they had 2 CD..s, won 2 MTV Music Award Latin-American on 2003 and 2004 on the category Best New Artist Central and Bes Artist.He is actually playing with Diego Dibos, Vali Cáceres, Innuendo and Resplandor and he is a partner on the recording studio Alpamayo Sound ( www.alpamayosound.com ) and works as a producer, session player and audio post producer. He has been the drummer for TK, Nina Mutal, AfonÃa, Resplandor, Chick, Jose Arbulú , La Ultima Pieza, Manuel Miranda, Innuendo, Diego Dibos , Vali Cáceres and recorded with TK, Diego Dibos, Vali Cáceres, Nina Mutal, Jose Arbulú, Resplandor, Suite Vendetta, Kuniyoshi, Barbara Cayo, AfonÃa , Piratas en el callao ( Animated 3D Movie ), Dragones Destino de Fuego ( Animated 3D Movie) , Valentino y el Clan del Can ( Animated 3D Movie) and Mi Problema con las Mujeres ( TV series).His favorite drummers are: Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Carter Beauford, Alex Acuña, Thomas Lang, Gregg Bissonette and Dom Famularo.Chris uses Mapex Drums, Sabian Cymbals and ProMark Drumsticks.
