About Me

I am a multi-instrumentalist working with the progressive rock group ANIMA OBSCURA. My primary instrument is the drumset, however, I also play the Chapman Stick (see blogs for more on that) and percussion. I have been playing for about 35 years and I've performed in Prog, Rock, Fusion, Jazz, Reggae, and Gosple groups, as well as college marching band, concert band, jazz band, and community theater productions. I teach private lessons and group percussion workshops for home school organizations. I am a member of the Percussive Arts Society and a contributing author to the PAS journal Percussive Notes with feature articles on Round, Canon, and Fugue for the drumset, as well as music pedagogy. I have a BFA from Arizona State University where I graduated summa cum laude and...
