OLYIA

Olyia is a singer/songwriter/producer who has been involved in music all her life. She was born in Minsk, Belarus and was raised in the Bronx and through out New York. Growing up in a well known family of singers/musicians she began playing the piano, singing and composing at an early age. She joined her parents on tour at the age of 8 and began composing music by the age of 9. Once her family settled in NYC, she found herself immersed in a whole new world of music such as urban hip/hop, RnB, Latin, Afro/Cuban, Afro/Brazilian, Gospel and other genres which truly inspired her and influenced her growth as a musician and person. Her music is a fusion of global influences including her Eastern European Roots and the Urban/RnB/HipHop/Latin influences of NYC were she grew up. Her soulful voice and original sound have been winning hearts and minds. She has performed on stages around the world and the country spanning from Lincoln Center to College Campuses, Clubs and Lounges around the country. She is also involved in numerous causes important to her heart and soul. She feels that as an artist, activist and writer it is the responsibility of the young generation to make a change towards a better world. Through both her music and international endeavors she has been involved in numerous projects, conferences and organizations which encourage young leaders to speak up, mobilize and take action in their societies. She holds a B.A from Bard College and a Masters of Science from Georgetown University. Now working on her debut album and collaborating with Artists and Producers from around the world, Olyia hopes to spread a positive message through her music.She is currently involved with several major projects throughout the United States and Europe including television, song production and collaborations with numerous artists and partners.Global Movement.
