Dj sotil has had a connection to music from a very young age. When he was just 13 he studied music and learned to play the trumpet which he did until he was 18 years old. For dj sotil music is a very pleasant experience and has since learned a lot through his importance and respect that he has gained throughout his career as a dj and a producer. His interest and taste for electronic music began from the moment he began to attend parties, through various clubs across the country and seeing some of the best djs in the world and how they themselves operate. It was his love of dancing that opened up up whole new perspective into the mechanics of a dance track and consequently it became easy and natural to conquer his public. Not wanting to miss his opportunity to share his talent he bought 2 plates and a table for mixing and so his dream became reality. His determination and passion quickly showed and its is his energetic style that makes each track an important sound in the future of music. In 2006 he was winner of DJ’S FUTURE SUPERSTAR OF DANCECLUB which took place at the HACIENDA NIGHT KLUB in Lisbon. It was an important moment in the history of dj sotil and from there on he played alongside some of the best dj’s in the world. JONH DIGWEED, CHUS & CEBALLOS, LITTLE LOUIE VEGA, STEVE LAWLER, BOB SINCLAIR, ROB DI STEFANO, VIBE , PETE THA ZOUK, CARLOS FAUVRELLE, CARLOS MANAÇA, FRANK MAUREL, JIGGY , to name just a few. Today he works as a freelancer who is highly not only requested but respected moung the music industry. It is his positive energy that is transmitted through to the public giving the electric atmosphere that he is searching for that gives him un indescribable pleasure that makes his work as a dj worthwhile. His idols include; ERIC MORILLO, CARL COX, TIESTO, LAURENT GARNIER and VIBE. All are major influences for dj sotil promising career. Today DJ SOTIL is in the studio preparing his debut as a talented producer.
