Pokker life is the story of 3 friends from Aix-en Provence (Southern France) passionate about electronic music.The story begins in 2006, when Thomas Donati and Frederic Castaldo(aka Tom Donax and Fred de F) who own and run the record label Radioactif Music call Fréderic Desimoni (Dj Dessy) to set up a group together.
The 3 friends team up on the week-ends and crazy, interesting tracks come out of their frenzied afternoons.They find music and gambling to be closely related. They believe that chance play a part in any given song’s success: thus the name of Thomas Donati’s record label, Pokker Music.Surfing on the fresh electro-house wave all the while working the old school style, the 3 fellows composed their debut single, I wanna be your Love, released on Pokker Music. The label was in fact created for this single.
But don’t be fooled by the smooth title, the track fires up dance floors and earned great reviews from the public.Soon after their first try, Pokker Life came back in 2007 with So you can, a song very inspired by the 80’s, on which one can note an usually big presence of vintage keyboards. What sets this track apart is that it has vocals in English and French.A few months later, after making a remix for Horny United, the German label Attractive records decided to sign So you can to re-release the track this fall with a new high-energy remix from Sunloverz.**************************************************
