About Me

My interests include movies (particularly horror, sci-fi and action films), television ("Doctor Who" is proving to be one of the best British shows in a long time) and comic books. At the moment I've 6 or 7 comic books I'm reading on a regular basis. I'm particularly impressed by Steve Niles' "30 Days of Night" and Warren Ellis' "Blackgas".
I like to go to the gym and chill out with friends at my favourite watering holes. My favourite drink is Frulli, a belgian strawberry beer that is simply beautiful. Very refreshing!
A few times a week I like to settle down with some snacks and catch up on my DVDs. If I'm in the mood, I'll then scribble down a quick review (some of which are contained in my blog).
I used to collect film memorabilia but lack of storage has meant my purchasing days are now behind me. Thesedays, I just display prints, posters and a few replica props.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Dario Argento, Derren Brown, Larry David, John Carpenter, Tobe Hooper

DVDC’s A-Z of Horror: "N" is for "Nutbag"

DVDCs A-Z of Horror: "M" is for "Madman"

"Madman" (1982) "Madman" may not be a hidden gem but it's a pleasant surprise. This early '80s slasher manages to out-do some of its "Friday the 13th" sequels and clones in terms of entertainment valu...

DVDC’s A-Z of Horror: L is for "The Last Horror Movie"

DVDC’s A-Z of Horror: "K is for Killers and Kontroll"

Killers (1996) I bought the uncut German Pal DVD of this movie as a blind buy a few months back. Looking back, I'm not sure why I purchased it - I rarely buy purely on instinct. I finally decided to w...

DVDCs A-Z of Horror: "F is for Faust: Love of the Damned"
