life begins again in france. so i've started playing for some new projects in france and it's as always alot of fun.i've been invited to play with la familia for this years concert it's a great band playing a great selection of latin influenced music with a great bunch of people. we're of to germany and hungary in april and have many festival date around france check out there myspace in my top friends.gazmazout is a band i've been in for the last year playing jazz manouch and stuff its great fun and is giving me a real insite in to the traditions french jazz scene. it's been a real eye opener to see the general publics responce to the music in france (they love it) some what different to the english. it has a real living history whitch many people assosiate with. check out the vids when we played for france3 tv.i am aslo playing with latingoska which is a interesting fusion of spanish and cuban rhythms with the inclusion of tabla. look out for us in the future.and at last i have begun performing with christine lucazeau in a double bass and vocal duet which has proved to be an exciting emotive and difficult project to push us both with our musical exploration.I was living and playing in brighton for 7 years where i made loads of good friends and I feel very privaliged to have performed along side many great musicians. I had the opportunity to play many styles of music in the south of engand from contagious afrobeat to gypsie jazz and classical jazz fussion. I am now living in rouen (normandie, france) and on the long journy meeting a new set of musicians and learning the french way of living. my biggest love is with jazz and latin american music and of course a heavy dose of funk, i love that slap bass feeling. The Latin Jazz Trio is still waiting for the best mix of our ep.you can hear us playing on www.myspace.com/willfrymusic. And the recording with Risenga Makondo and Britafro is yet to be completed, but we can't wait.
