Francesco Formoso begins to play drums at 17 years old, after the vision of an explosive live performance of Mirko Savoia (R.I.P.), extraordinaire guitarplayer, that will become his first bandmate later.
Francesco raised soon to be a very busy drummer into many bands and secondary projects, because his firework style add to new ideas of drumming.
Completely self-taught, he decided, in the early '90 until 2005, to form a metalband named "Borrower", being also the lyrist, that will establishes most of the style of his drumming, looking at the teachings of great drummasters like Peart, Torpey, Gadd, Smith, ecc.
Here it follows four recordings and many exhibitions.
Subsequently his long-time stay in Germany allowed him to play and tour with many foreign artists such as Trees Under Water, Specular, Phil Richards, Magnitudo9, Chainsaw-Machine-Guns, Christof Leim, etc..
In Italy, his work becomes concrete with many studio and live collaborations like Jeannie Nitro, Stonecutters, Gatto Brothers and others from jazz to metal.
At this moment, Francesco works in Munich, joining the activity of musician to other like indipendent filmmaker and writer.Der wald hat hunger
