About Me

Cheers! Sláinte! Prost! Kampai! Salut! Skål!
I still love a good beer.
The American Wake Powder The Dollyrots Cafe R&B
...are the most fun bands I've had the opportunity to see live, ever. And quite possibly, the bands I've seen perform the most. Yes, that is important enough to toss right near the top, just underneath the beer :-)
I also enjoy getting out into the mountains and hiking, backpacking, and summitting mountains. I particularily am a fan of the San Gorgonio Wilderness, and have summitted "Greyback" several times, and will keep doing so for some time to come. I love that mountain.
My winter sport of choice is snowboarding, though I'm not much of a trickster, I'm more into long fast carves and when the conditions are good for it, getting off the main runs and out into the trees and valleys.
I enjoy kickin' back at a pub or blues bar, tossing back a brew and some grub and seeing a good band play. Two of my favorites for this are "The American Wake" or "Cafe R&B" both of which I've seen play in a variety of venues ranging from dive bars in Santa Monica to the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena. Always a good show any way you stack it.
I like to get out of town and up into the mountains on a somewhat regular basis. I've been heading into the local mountains, Big Bear in particular, pretty much as long as I can remember, and I love it up there. Every season has something to offer. You have the snow sports in the winter, hiking and boating, fishing, etc in the summer. I've always enjoyed learning more about the history of the area as well. It's always amazing when you learn what people were cabable of doing 100 years ago or more when the place was nearly inaccessible.
I'd like to make time in my future to go work with a wing of the CAF (Commemortive Air Force) on restoring and maintaining old aircraft. I love aviation and I've got a special place in my heart for old warbirds. So many of these planes have histories that go far beyond wartime, and being able to see them capable of flying is incredible, seeing them in flight is even more incredible.

My Interests

Snowboarding, hiking, Backpacking, Brews, Blues, BBQs, and Pub Rock, Cooking, and Eating ... did I mention beer?

I'd like to meet:

A Good Beer. Perhaps six. Those who enjoy a good beer. Those who might be into kickin' back at a pub one night, and hiking off into the wilds the next day, or visa-versa. Someone who can appreciate the simple pleasure of mixing a pitcher of margarita, bbq'ing, and relaxing on the deck in the local mountains on a nice day.

Music:

Music Posts Metal

Movies:

Fear of a Black Hat
You just can't go wrong with a spoof of a spoof for cult classics. Take Spinal Tap, throw it into the late 80's early 90's rap world, and 'pow' you got Fear of a Black Hat.
Terminator (primarily 1 & 2 ... 3 kinda blew chunks...I mean, inflatable boobs...what kind of terminator needs sex appeal when it's a well honed killing machine?) Still, I've seen T1 and T2 more than any other movie.
Saving Private Ryan
Pearl Harbor
Enemy at the Gates
I love a well done WWII movie, especially when it involves airplanes...piston planes rock.
The Basement and the Kitchen
...cause I worked on it...and the final cut was a lot nicer looking than I thought it would be considering the cashflow on the project :-)
The Salton Sea
"Don't address me, address the captain..." I think that's the last thing anyone ever wants to hear from a dude with no nose...if you've seen the movie, you know just what I'm talking about
UHF
The Big Hit
The Zero Effect
Donnie Darko
Garden State
Lost Skeleton of Cadavera
And lest we forget...
George Lucas in Love
