The story of Corrosive Death starts in the 80's When Torben Weitmann (guitar) and Lars Larsen (drums) started rehearsing, influenced by the thrash metal of the late 80's. They were joined by Jesper Pedersen (guitar) and Jan Bække (bass) and started playing under the name Undeath. Undeath never released anything but did play some gigs - in Korsør and Århus among other places. Undeath was dissolved and Jesper went to Odense to play with the then cult metal band Sliced Pimples. Jan disappeared from the scene altogether. However Lars and Torben (Fritz as he was known amongst friends) kept playing and teamed up with Thomas Hulstrøm (bass) and Kuno Hansen (vocals). This was in 1990. Together they formed the hardcore/punk band Scandal So What. After a year of playing hardcore Torben bumped into Jesper who bragged about how much faster he was playing in Sliced Pimples. At this point in time Scandal So What had played the Korsør Festival (in 1990) and recorded the demo 'Ciao Ciao Ceaucescu' with the help of friends but nothing much had happened. So the foursome decided to dissolve SSW and play something faster and more metal than what Jesper was playing in Sliced Pimples. However Kuno decided not to join in.And so "Corrosive Death" was formed with Torben also doing the vocals. This was 1991. Much energy was unleashed and 3 months after the formation of the band the guys went to a studio and recorded the first demo 'Oblivious'.This was fairly well received by the underground press and even though some record companies showed interest nothing was signed.More to come ....
