That's Ms. Brockwell to you

April is the cruelest month of all

About Me

Where do I begin...David is my life. I am a strange girl to say the least. Most people find me cold and harsh...they just figure I'm a bitch, and maybe they're right, but it's probably just because I don't like to let people get too close to me. I have some contradictions about myself, such as...I love to be on stage and playing shows in front of people, but I have a serious problem with anxiety in certain social situations. I'm weird around people..I can't help it or explain it. I'm self-destructive, self-medicating, impossible at times, firey, passionate, loving, sexxy, and caring. I am also a historian, singer, philosopher and on observer of people and situations.

My Interests

philosophy-the human condition-thought processes-history-traveling-being silent around others-disappearing-the bizarre and unknown-obsessing-worrying-adventures-unconventionally beautiful and strange people-saddness-books and journals-art-collage-painting-conceptual pieces-photography-Mike and Doug Starn-observing people-heartache-music-autumn and winter-20s art deco-storms-snow-hands-arms-mouths-words and language-sex-kissing-love(not necessarily in that order)-messy hair-the scent of Libraries and old books-being naked-being a heartless bitch and a hopeless romantic-anything old as dirt- almost any genre of poetry and literature-writing is my first and last love.

I'd like to meet:

Intelligent and intellectual persons ONLY please! I have no time for children or childish matters.

Music:

I listen to it and I sing it. I pretty much just listen to oldies from the 50s, 60s and 70s Southern rock on Sirius radio (I gave up on "new" music a long time ago. I'm not even sure I like rock and roll anymore) However, as for more modern junk... at the moment I'm in love with Air and Thievery Corporation. I like vintage blues and sexxy Cuban jazz also. My voice is my passion.

Movies:

I could list movies for days like some people do, but I won't do that. I love movies, I've seen a billion of them, so if you're dying to know if I've seen or liked a particular one just ask me. The Last Unicorn--Any David Lynch, Tim Burton or Tarantino--Me Without You--Possession--The City of Lost Children--Basquiat--Donnie Darko--Great Expectations--I love silent movies and movies from the 1920s--Metropolis--The Lord of the Rings--Interview with the Vampire--vampire movies of all kinds--old horror and foreign films-I love almost anything historical.

Television:

Three words TRAILER PARK BOYS. The news (I know it's depressing, but I love it) Anything on the History channel, Discovery channel etc...For some reason I only like T.V. if it's fucking hilarious or totally factual and historical.

Books:

I read whenever I get the chance outside of school readings.13 Alabama Ghosts and Jeffery(childhood fave)--Anything by Pablo Neruda and Sue Scalf, David Sedaris, Billy Corgan, Kurt Vonnegut, Southern authors are the best ex. Carson McCullers. I like classic British literature, millions of poets, blah blah too many books to name. I'm a little obsessed with magazines.

Heroes:

All those poor troops over in EYE-RACK*sniffle.(how about EAR-OCK morons) I assume you can detect my sarcasm, unless you're 16, which half the people on here now are. What the fuck is a hero?
