I'd like to meet:
Someone with street, life smarts and a modern perspective that that enables their ability to grow and understand different social perspectives. If you're really academicly intelligent that's a bonus, but for me it's more about being real. (well, a little academic intelligence would be nice, and that doesn't mean good marks, it means the ability to have good marks). Life's not about being the shit. I mean, i'm sure it's fun, but when you're out of highschool, you might find yourself thinking, instead of being the shit maybe I should have done something with something. It only makes it harder when it's over and it's just you, maybe your girl friend and what ever friends you like enough to keep, and often for the shit, a shitty fuckin job and shitty fuckin friends.
Oh... and if you happen to play guitar, and or maybe sing...or maybe both and maaaaaybe want to start a band and conquor the world, that be pretty sweet too.
Why do I want this? Cuz... I want a band with people I like and respect. If I could assign half my friends instruments I'd have a band.. but unfortunetly I've only got a basist who meets the requirements. And even that's only just a possibility. It's a start
I think that's why I'm so comfortable in any environment, I changed schools and a new school really didn't make me too nervous, cuz it really doesn't matter what the guy next to you thinks, unless you plan on making him a regular part of you're life.

Deftones, I'm a drummer, what's not to like about that sound.
The Toadies-the instrumentals are a bit harsh, but, they've got a good sound
The Offspring-Not one of my main bands anymore.. but they
were my first. It's not about being impressive. They just do what they do. Fall in right with the toadies. (90's punk was awsome.)
Teamsleep-What's getting high if you've never heard teamsleep.
I mother fucking earth, not quite there yet with them, but they rock.
Death cab for cutie (Ben gibbards and amazing lyricest, it' s like he wrote out his feelings, made all these awsome sociological connections between people, events, stages in you're life and solid objects, and some fucking how, it happens to make up the most amazing rhymming patters. They've had a few drummers, but for the most part, They've all done there part on make acoustic drumming impressive.
and then there's other bands that I'm dipping into but not quite there with yet.
I don't think I know everything there is to know about any of these bands, but I'll get there.
